Lakehouse Job

This project was definitely all hands on deck. First, we had to carefully protect the home, landscaping, and the tricky lake surrounding the beautiful home on two acres of pristine land. We had our time tarping up the house along with the detached garage and walkway entrée. It was tons of debris due to the older roof made of wood cedar shake 1×6 structured sheathing shingles. Next, we had to replace the home top, walking roof, and detached garage with over 120 sheets of new plywood sheathing. Removal is a very time-consuming procedure to replace these older types of roofs. Everything has to be precise and returned to its former state.

The roof is over 42 square feet and took a day for tear-off and wood replacement. The color of choice for the new roof was the luxurious-looking Sandune that would bring out the surrounding lake and nature-setting woods. We also had to replace the plastic walkway roof with new sheathing and its Sandune makeover. We always used Owen’s Corning Total Roof Protection procedure on all structured roofs. Everything turned out magnificent!!
